I am a PhD student at the Laboratory for Topology and Neuroscience of the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) under the supervision of Kathryn Hess.

I am interested in homotopy theory and my PhD project is about coalgebraic structures in stable homotopy theory, especially Hopf–Galois extensions.

Some mathematical documents I have typed can be found in the documents page.

My institutional email addres is `aras.ergus [at] epfl [dot] ch`

(which is my preferred address for being contacted about math or university-related matters).

Here are some mathematics-related organizations which played an important role in my mathematical (and personal) development:

- Nesin Mathematics Village: A “village” near Izmir, Turkey dedicated to mathematics.
- Quod Erat Demonstrandum e.V. (in German): A mathematics club based in Bavaria.
